Sending Messages: the Message Queue & History

Every message you choose to send in Woofle waits in your Message Queue until you send it from your own phone or WhatsApp. This guide walks through the queue, how sending works on a phone and on a computer, and where to find everything you've sent.

In a nutshell: Woofle writes the message, you send it. Tap Text or WhatsApp and your own app opens with the number and message already filled in — just press send. Messages are unlimited, there's nothing extra to pay, and replies come straight back to you.

How a message gets into the queue

Whenever Woofle offers you a message — when you book, reschedule, complete or cancel an appointment, send a reminder or re-book nudge, invite a client to fill in their details, or write one yourself — switch it on and save. The message joins your Message Queue. Nothing has gone to the client yet.

While anything is waiting, a pink badge in the top bar shows how many messages there are to send. Tap it, or go to Messages → Message Queue.

The Message Queue

The queue lists every message waiting to go, oldest first. Each one shows the client's name, what kind of message it is, their mobile number, when it was queued, and the full wording.

The queue is shared across your business, so anyone on your team can work through it. If two people tap the same message at once, only one of them sends it — the other is told it's already gone.

Sending from your phone

Open Woofle on your phone and each message has two buttons:

  • Text — opens your phone's Messages app with the client's number and the message filled in.
  • WhatsApp — opens WhatsApp the same way.
  1. Tap Text or WhatsApp

Your app opens with everything ready. Read it over if you like — you can still change it there.

  2. Press send

The message goes from your own number or WhatsApp, just like any other message you send.

  3. Come back to Woofle for the next one

The message you just sent has left the queue. Tap the next one and carry on — a whole day's messages take a minute or two.

Sending from a computer

On a computer, each message has a WhatsApp button. It opens WhatsApp Desktop, or WhatsApp Web in your browser, with the message ready to send — so you can clear the queue from your desk. The first time, WhatsApp may ask you to link your phone if you haven't used WhatsApp Web before.

Texting needs a phone, so the Text button only appears when you open Woofle on one.

Which should I use? Whichever your client prefers. WhatsApp only works if the client has WhatsApp; a text reaches any mobile. Both come from you, so either way their reply lands in your own Messages or WhatsApp.

Discarding a message

Changed your mind? Tap Discard to remove a message from the queue without sending it. It's kept in Message History, marked as discarded, so you can see it was never sent.

Good to know

  • Woofle counts a message as sent when it opens your app. It can't see inside your Messages app or WhatsApp, so if you back out without pressing send, the message still shows as sent. The full wording is in Message History if you want to send it again.
  • It sends from whichever WhatsApp you're signed in to on that device — your personal account or WhatsApp Business.
  • Demo clients have placeholder numbers that can't reach a real phone, so their messages offer Mark as sent (demo) instead of Text or WhatsApp.
  • No mobile number, no message. If a client has no mobile, or their "Send messages" switch is off, Woofle won't offer to message them in the first place.

Message History

Everything you've sent is in Messages → Message History, latest first. Each message shows who it went to, what it was, the wording, and when it was sent — including whether it went by WhatsApp. Discarded messages appear here too.

The page shows your 20 most recent messages; tap Load more to go further back. Each client, pet and appointment also keeps its own list of messages, so you can always see what's been said to whom.

Older messages: before the Message Queue, Woofle sent texts itself. Those messages are still in your history; any that didn't get through at the time show as failed.
