Starting out: your free trial
Every new salon begins on a free trial that runs for 30 days. During the trial you've got the run of the place — add your clients and pets, set up your calendar, send messages, the lot — so you can decide whether Woofle suits the way you work before paying a penny.
When you open the Billing page during your trial, Woofle gently reminds you that you're on it and invites you to choose a plan whenever you're ready. There's no rush, but do keep an eye on the clock: once the trial ends, your account is frozen until you subscribe. Frozen means you can still log in and look around, but you can't carry on working — booking appointments, sending messages and the rest pause until you pick a plan. Nothing is lost; everything's simply waiting for you to subscribe.
The plan: what you get
Woofle has one plan, and it includes the whole app. There's no carving features up into bronze, silver and gold, no working out which tier unlocks the bit you actually need — you subscribe, and everything is yours. Here's what's in the box:
- Unlimited appointments — book as much as your diary can take.
- Unlimited client & pet profiles — no caps on how many dogs or owners you keep on file.
- Full calendar & scheduling — the complete diary, your way.
- Automated SMS messages — reminders, re-book nudges and appointment texts, all built in.
- 100 free SMS credits every month — a fresh batch of texts included with your subscription.
- Document signing — send forms for clients to sign.
- Advanced reporting — see how your business is doing.
- Customer portal — your own client-facing portal for bookings and details.
- Pet photos — before-and-after shots and a gallery for each dog.
- Data import — bring your existing records across when you join.
Monthly or annual — your choice
The plan comes two ways: pay monthly at £15 a month, or pay annually at £150 a year — which works out as two months free compared with paying month by month. On the Billing page there's a simple monthly / annual toggle above the plan card; flick it to see each price, then choose whichever suits your cash flow. You can switch between the two later without any fuss (more on that below).
Subscribing
When you're ready to come off the trial, subscribing takes a moment.
-
Open the Billing page
Head to Billing in the app. You'll see the plan card with its full feature list and price.
-
Pick monthly or annual
Use the toggle above the card to choose how you'd like to pay. The price on the card updates to match.
-
Subscribe and pay securely
Choose the plan and Woofle hands you over to our payment provider, Stripe, to enter your card details on their secure checkout. Once you're done you're brought straight back to Woofle, your account unlocks, and you're away. Your card details live with Stripe, never with us.
Managing your subscription
Once you're subscribed, the Billing page becomes your control panel. At the top it confirms you're subscribed, tells you whether you're billed monthly or annually, and shows the date of your next renewal so there are never any surprises.
Switching between monthly and annual
Changed your mind about how often you pay? Flick the toggle to the other option and choose the plan again. Woofle shows you a quick confirmation first, with the exact price adjustment worked out for the time left in your current billing period — so you can see what you'll be charged (or credited) before you confirm. Nothing changes until you say yes.
Cancelling
If you ever need to stop, there's an "I'd like to cancel my subscription" link at the bottom of the Billing page. Cancelling doesn't cut you off there and then — your plan stays fully active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and only then does your account revert to the free trial state. You won't be charged again, and you're free to resubscribe whenever you like. Woofle asks you to confirm before anything happens, and shows the date your access runs until.
Your payment history
Lower down the Billing page you'll find your Payment History — a tidy list of your subscription invoices and any credit top-ups, all in one place. It's there whenever you need to check what you've paid or keep your own records straight.
SMS credits — a quick word
Your subscription includes 100 SMS credits each month, which is plenty for most salons. Each text costs at least one credit; longer ones cost a little more. If you ever run low, you can top up with a one-off purchase — 100, 250 or 500 credits at a time, with the larger bundles a touch cheaper per credit. Credits are managed alongside your messaging rather than on the Billing page: you'll find the top-up button with your credit balance on the messages side of the app.
A few common questions
- What happens when my trial ends and I haven't subscribed? Your account freezes — you can still log in and browse, but working pauses until you choose a plan. Nothing is deleted.
- Will I lose my credits if I switch plan? No. Switching between monthly and annual only affects how you're billed, not your credit balance.
- Can I get a refund if I cancel mid-period? Cancelling keeps your plan running until the end of the period you've paid for, rather than refunding the unused part.
And that's billing in a nutshell: a generous trial, one plan that includes everything, your choice of monthly or annual, and a single page to manage it all. Set it up once and you can forget about it — and get back to the dogs. For more on what your credits buy and how messages work, see the rest of the guides index.
