Messaging your clients is one of the most valuable things grooming software can do. A confirmation when you book, a reminder the day before, a friendly nudge when a dog is overdue — it fills your diary and cuts your no-shows. But most software makes you pay for it by the message, and sends it from a number your clients don’t recognise and can’t easily reply to.
We’ve changed how messaging works in Woofle. Woofle still writes every message for you. Now you send it from your own phone, by text or WhatsApp, in a single tap — and that turns out to be better in almost every way.
How it works
Whenever you book, reschedule or complete an appointment, or a reminder or rebooking nudge comes due, Woofle offers you a message written from your own templates, with the dog’s name, the date and the time already filled in. Switch it on and it goes into your Message Queue.
When you’re ready — between dogs, over a cuppa, at the end of the day — open the queue and tap Text or WhatsApp. Your Messages app or WhatsApp opens with the client’s number and the message ready to go. Press send, come back, tap the next one. A whole day’s messages take a minute or two.
Replies come straight back to you
This is the big one. Because the message comes from your number, when a client answers “Lovely, see you then!” or “Could we make it 11 instead?”, the reply lands in your own Messages or WhatsApp, in the same conversation you already have with them. No checking a separate inbox, no replies disappearing into an anonymous number, no client ringing you because they couldn’t answer the text.
Clients recognise who it’s from, too. It’s your name in their phone, not a mystery sender — which means your messages actually get read.
Unlimited, with nothing extra to pay
There are no message credits to buy, no bundles to top up and no counting how many texts you’ve got left this month. Send as many confirmations, reminders and thank-yous as you like — it’s all included in your plan. Your messages go out through your own phone, so they’re covered by your own mobile plan or WhatsApp, exactly like the messages you already send.
That changes how you use it. When every message costs something, you start rationing: maybe skip the thank-you, maybe don’t bother with the nudge. When messages are unlimited, you send the ones that grow your business.
Text or WhatsApp — whatever your clients prefer
Plenty of your clients probably live in WhatsApp already. Now you can reach them there, with the same pre-written message, from the same queue. And because WhatsApp works on a computer as well, you can clear your queue from your desk through WhatsApp Desktop or WhatsApp Web, without picking up your phone.
You stay in control
Nothing ever goes to a client without you sending it. Every message sits in your queue until you choose to send it or discard it, so there are no surprises — no reminder going out for an appointment you’ve just moved, no message to a client you’d rather speak to in person. And everything you send is kept in your Message History, so you can always see what was said to whom, and when.
It works wherever you are
Because your own phone does the sending, messaging works in any country, to any mobile number — no waiting for us to support your network.
Already using Woofle?
Here’s what’s changed for you:
- Message credits are gone. There’s nothing to buy and nothing to run out of — messages are now unlimited on your plan.
- Messages wait in your queue. Instead of Woofle sending them, they go to Messages → Message Queue, and a pink badge in the top bar shows how many are waiting.
- Everything else is the same. Your message templates, “Send by default” settings, reminders and rebooking nudges all work exactly as before, and your past messages are still in your history.
Our guide, Sending Messages: the Message Queue & History, walks through it step by step.
Better messages, for less
Client messaging should help you run your business, not be another bill to keep an eye on. Woofle does the writing and keeps track of who’s due a reminder; you send from the phone you already carry, to the clients who already know your number — and their replies come straight back to you.
